Bell Ringer: What is a dynasty? Activate Prior Knowledge:
Deliver Instruction: Students will follow along with the lecture in order to fill in a note packet on ancient China. We will continue with Shang Society, Religion, Writing, and begin the Zhou Dynasty with emphasis on the Dynastic Cycle. Group Activity: Students will “count off” into five groups. Each group will use a poster board and markers to create an illustration of the Dynastic Cycle. These will be collected and graded. Plan for Extra Time: Students will be instructed to begin on their homework. (probably won’t be necessary) Homework: Chapter 4 Section 4 Review/Assessment questions 1 and 2 AND a study guide for their 1st Six-Weeks Test. |
